During the growth of the face and dental arches, the bones are quite "soft" or malleable. Any disturbance to this process can produce a lasting effect on the form of the face.

The photographs in this section will clearly illustrate how nonextraction treatment preserves the delicate balance of function and creates these wonderful smiles

MISSION

With modern technology and our expanding knowledge of growth and development, almost 99% of orthodontic malocclusions (i.e. crowded dentitions and overbites), can be corrected without extracting healthy functioning teeth!

Our goals are:

  1. Put an end to frivolous extraction of teeth for orthodontic purposes and pay more attention to the unique requirements of each patient.
  2. Alert and inform the public of the possible ill effects created by extracting teeth for orthodontic purposes.
  3. Educate progressive orthodontists throughout the world on newer methods available to avoid extraction of healthy functioning teeth. They will then master the art of consistently producing radiant smiles, and the science of preserving the overall health of their patients.

Note how the back teeth stand straight and extend all the way to the corners of the smile.

20 years after completion of orthodontic treatment. Note the inward tilting of the back teeth and the dark shadows at the corners of the smile.

In the ageing extraction dentition, the front teeth continue to collapse towards the tongue - producing a concave profile.
